SIKO REPUBLIK LAUNCHES A CULTURE OF MOVEMENT CAMPAIGN WITH A NEW COLLECTION & AN EXPERIENTIAL CONCEPT STORE AT THE MALL OF AFRICA

South African athleisure clothing brand Siko Republik launched their annual campaign to celebrate Africa month with a sensational fashion show hosted by Thebe Ikalafeng, which took place at the Botho Project Space, in the heart of Johannesburg, on the 1st of May 2021, a campaign in partnership with Brand South Africa Play your part and The Mall of Africa.

This year the brand will celebrate the movement of culture and heritage through a 3 day festival called the CULTURE OF MOVEMENT, where the brand will celebrate the evolution of movement for our target audience and the launch of a flagship pop up store where the new Autumn/Winter range will be sold. Siko Republik gear can only be found via the online store and various pop-up events for now so this launch is really exciting.

The brand is not a new contributor to the Mall of Africa fashion offering. Just before lockdown in 2020, Siko Republik was featured in the Brand South Africa Buy local store and it is with great pleasure to have the brand occupy another pop up store but this time, on their own.

The concept pop up store will be interactive and engaging through showcasing indigenous games like izingedo, amathini and mrabaraba, to the brand followers. We want to create a destination store with elements that will bring families out for an experience.

The culture of movement campaign aims to get south africans involved in conversations about holistic wellness (physical, mental and spiritual) while also creating a space where moms & dads can connect with their little ones on how they used to stay active when they were young”

said founder Jabulile Gwala.

“Movement has always been at the heart of how we live and documenting the evolution of that movement, from playing amathini to being part of running clubs, for future generations to also enjoy is important.”

she added.
